It all started when…

Originally hailing from the Midwest, I did not expect to become a New Yorker, much less meet my husband, live my life and raise my children here. Alas, I fell for Brooklyn - the ease (anything at anytime!) and the hardship (why, G train, why?)

But. I needed green. Fresh air. Nature. Some privacy & quiet to balance out the hustle of the city. We could not afford the Hampton's - and did not want to contend with L.I.E traffic - we had spent a few long weekends with our dogs upstate and really enjoyed it.

We visited many towns and areas in the Hudson Valley region, but I could not resist my inner hippie when we pulled into the quaint town of Woodstock, surrounded by the gorgeous Catskill Mountains.

Seven years, four homes, two dogs, three jobs, five moves (including my parents who relocated from Minnesota to Saugerties - less than one mile from us), and two daughters later, we cannot imagine our lives without our Woodstock home.

Why me?

My past lives include practicing law, a brief stint in PR, working in animal welfare for several years, culminating in becoming a mom and recently obtaining my real estate license.

In the past ten years, I have bought a Brooklyn condo, bought an upstate home, renovated Brooklyn condo (while pregnant), sold upstate home, sold renovated Brooklyn condo, bought upstate home #2, renovated upstate home #2, bought and renovated (while pregnant. again.) a Brooklyn home. When it comes to real estate successes, failures, mistakes, missteps and lessons learned...I can tell you about them all!

But, most importantly, I love our lives - I love living in Brooklyn - but creating a second home upstate for the last 7 years has brought untold joy, humor, stories, adventures and learnings to our family. I'm excited to share the possibilities of 'having the best of both worlds' with other families.
